The Gigabyte Aero 16, while more expensive, offers a high-resolution OLED screen, which is ideal for creative work where color accuracy matters. It's less suited for high frame-rate gaming due to its lower refresh rate. On the other side, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is more budget-friendly and comes with a 165Hz IPS display, better for fast-paced games, but with potentially lower color fidelity. The Gigabyte has an Intel CPU and Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics, which are powerful for intensive tasks, whereas the Lenovo's AMD CPU and RTX 4060 GPU are great for gaming and general use with slightly less performance. The Lenovo may have better battery life due to its AMD processor, and its higher refresh rate screen is a bonus for gamers. If portability and battery life are key, consider the Legion's potential advantages here, otherwise, the Gigabyte's screen and performance may justify the higher cost for professional creative work. The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aero 16's high resolution and brightness, along with a premium panel type, provide vivid and clear imagery, making it a pleasure to use for everyday activities; the Lenovo Legion 5 offers similar benefits but may not be as bright or have the same level of detail. Engineering and design professionals will find the Aero's wider color gamuts essential for accurate color work, whereas the Legion's color coverage suffices for less demanding tasks. However, gamers and 3D designers may find both laptops lacking, as their screens don't refresh as quickly as preferred for the smoothest visual experience, although the resolution and panel type may still offer decent image quality.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
