The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers an OLED screen with higher resolution and better color accuracy, making it ideal for creative work where visuals are critical, and has longer battery life for on-the-go use. It's also slightly lighter, adding to its portability. However, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro boasts a more powerful graphics card and a much higher refresh rate screen, which is preferable for gaming and may benefit certain engineering applications. The Legion's battery life is significantly shorter, though, and it's a bit heavier, impacting portability. Consider the Aero 16 if you prioritize display quality and battery life, or the Legion 5 Pro if you seek better gaming performance and don't mind charging more frequently. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Gigabyte Aero 16 is good.
The Lenovo Legion Pro 5, with its Nvidia RTX 4070, outperforms the Gigabyte Aero 16's RTX 3070 Ti, especially in gaming and 3D applications, providing smoother and more responsive visuals thanks to its much higher screen refresh rate. While the Aero 16 delivers vivid and detailed images due to its high-resolution OLED display, the Legion Pro 5's emphasis on rapid motion with a higher refresh rate will appeal more to gamers and professionals working with dynamic 3D content.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers crisp visuals with high resolution and brightness that suits everyday activities, along with wide color gamuts, ensuring accurate color representation for engineering and design tasks. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 also provides sharp images and good brightness for daily use, and while offering strong color accuracy, it stands out less due to slightly lower color range compared to the Gigabyte. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D applications because they don't have high refresh rates, which are vital for smooth motion and fast-paced visuals in these scenarios.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 provides a high-resolution OLED screen, a considerable amount of onboard storage, and a longer battery life, making it well-suited for a variety of general use cases, even though it is less portable due to its heavier weight. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro has a very capable AMD CPU and a high-refresh-rate IPS screen, which is beneficial for fluid visuals in daily tasks, yet it offers less storage and a shorter battery life though it is slightly more portable.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 and Lenovo Legion Pro 5 are both very good for engineering and design.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 has an OLED screen with high color accuracy and contrast, making it excellent for design tasks that require visual precision, paired with a strong CPU and GPU that aid in engineering computations and rendering. Contrastingly, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro offers a potent CPU and GPU combination as well, but with a screen that has a lower color accuracy and contrast ratio, which might not be as optimal for color-critical work, but it excels with a higher refresh rate for smooth visuals during engineering simulations.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
