If your priority is high-performance tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering software, the Gigabyte Aero 16, with its higher-end GPU and more substantial storage, would be the better option. However, it's less portable and has a shorter battery life than the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i, which is lighter and could be preferable if you value mobility or have more general usage needs. The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i will cost less and might be sufficient for everyday productivity, light gaming, and entertainment, while the Gigabyte Aero 16 would cater to more demanding applications at a higher price point. How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
