The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers a better display with an OLED screen and higher resolution, which is excellent for professional photo and video editing, but it's less portable because it's slightly heavier. On the other hand, the HP Omen 15 has a higher refresh rate screen which is better for gaming, and it's a bit lighter, making it more portable. If you prioritize creative tasks requiring precise colors and detail, the Aero might be better suited for you. However, if gaming is more your focus and you value portability, then the Omen 15 could be the preferred choice. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aero 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the HP Omen 15 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 outshines the HP Omen 15 in engineering and design use primarily due to its superior screen quality with higher resolution and color accuracy, which is essential for detailed visual work, while it also offers a more powerful GPU and an advanced CPU that can better handle intensive tasks. However, the Omen 15 has advantages such as longer battery life and slightly better portability, contributing positively to on-the-go usage, and while its input/output devices such as the keyboard and speakers also received positive remarks, they don't quite make up for the difference in performance and display capabilities for professional engineering and design work.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the HP Omen 15 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers superior visuals for general use and design tasks because it typically has a high-resolution display with vibrant colors and good brightness levels, enhancing daily productivity and color-sensitive work with accurate color representation in both DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the Aero's screen may not refresh as quickly, leading to less fluid motion which can detract from fast-paced visuals. In contrast, the HP Omen 15 provides consistently good image quality across general and engineering contexts but lacks the higher-end color specifications and fast refresh rate necessary for optimal gaming and 3D experiences.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the HP Omen 15 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"We consider around 1,260 Euros (~$1530) for a Ryzen 7 4800H, a GeForce RTX 2060, a 512 GB SSD and 16 GB dual-channel RAM to be a good offer that appeals to price-conscious gamers. Very high details are rarely a problem in the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. Buyers will also be spoiled with a top-notch battery life that even beats most other notebook classes. If HP now improves the speed of the WLAN module, the stability of the case and the repeatedly criticized picture quality, the competition will have to dress extra warmly."
