The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers high performance, particularly in 3D, machine learning, and engineering, thanks to its powerful processor and advanced graphics card, making it well-suited for intensive tasks and gaming. It also has a high-resolution OLED display that is excellent for color-sensitive work, but this comes with a higher price and lower battery life, which impacts its portability. In contrast, the HP 17" Laptop is more budget-friendly and offers decent general use performance due to its capable processor and good build quality. It's lighter, promoting better portability, but its screen and graphics capabilities are not as robust, making it a sensible choice for everyday tasks and not for heavy computational or gaming needs. Tom's Hardware

Isaac Rouse | May 2022
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."

PCMag

Francisco Lahoz | November 2022
"As far as starter laptops go, the HP Laptop 17 is a sound investment. Sure, it might not be the lightest of options, but what you get for the price is a well-rounded machine that fits multiple niches. Whether it be office duties that require you to multi-task between multiple programs, or study tasks in which you’ll spend hours browsing online, this laptop does it all. Plus, when it's time to unwind, you can watch your favorite shows or movies on a super-wide display. What's best of all is that you can do all this for about half a day on a single charge."
