The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 7 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Gigabyte Aorus 7 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
For general use, the Gigabyte Aero 16's superior resolution and brightness offer clear and vibrant visuals, making it excellent for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos. In engineering and design, the Aero 16's expansive color gamuts provide accurate color reproduction essential for precision work. However, for gaming and 3D, the Aero 16's lower refresh rate makes it less suitable, as smoother motion and faster screen updates are critical for these applications, which the Aorus 7 with a higher refresh rate handles better, even though its other screen attributes are less impressive.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has good portability, while the Gigabyte Aorus 7 has only fair portability.
The most portable laptops are small, thin, and light.
Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Gigabyte Aero 16 to be very good for general use, while the Gigabyte Aorus 7 is good.
The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers a high-resolution OLED screen, which provides excellent screen quality for general use, along with strong performance from its Intel i7 CPU and a robust 16GB of RAM, though its heavier weight and slightly lower battery life make it less portable. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 7, with a lower resolution IPS screen, still delivers adequate performance for general tasks with the same amount of RAM and a comparable Intel i5 CPU, and while it's a bit heavier, it trades off some screen quality for a larger screen and better heat management.

How the Gigabyte Aero 16 and the Gigabyte Aorus 7 compare to other laptops
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
