The Gigabyte Aero 16 offers a slightly smaller and more vibrant OLED screen as well as being more portable and offering longer battery life, whereas the Aero 17 provides a larger Mini LED display that may be better for fast motion with its higher refresh rate and a number pad which could be useful for data entry. Both laptops have the same storage, RAM, main processor, and GPU, so their performance in general use, 3D/machine learning, and engineering tasks will be very similar. Choose the Aero 16 if portability and display vividness are crucial or the Aero 17 for a larger screen and higher refresh rate, considering it comes at a higher price and reduced battery life. Tom's Hardware

Isaac Rouse | May 2022
"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."

NotebookCheck

Mike Wobker | May 2021
"Not only is the Aero 17 a very good laptop for gamers but also for content creators. With the upgrade to the Intel Core i9-11980HK, Gigabyte particularly improved the system performance. In addition, the hardware package is rounded by the extremely fast SSD and 32 GB of working memory in dual-channel mode. Compared to the predecessor, the battery life is reduced only moderately, and the 4K display also basically keeps its good qualities."
