If you prioritize performance, particularly for engineering tasks or 3D/machine learning work, the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo packs a more powerful processor and better performance scores which suit intensive computational needs. It's also highly portable with a smaller, lighter design and a longer battery life, making it a good choice for on-the-go use. However, it costs more than the Gateway 15.6", which offers a larger screen at the expense of lower performance and portability. The Gateway is suitable for general use and can also handle some engineering work, plus it has a full-size keyboard with a number pad, which may be a benefit for productivity. Give Feedback

The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo has a better screen than the Gateway 15.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, a laptop like the Gateway with fair screen quality will generally have adequate resolution and brightness but may not stand out in terms of clarity or vibrancy, which could affect long hours of usage, whereas the MSI Summit with its higher resolution and brightness offers a sharper and more comfortable viewing experience. Regarding engineering and design, the MSI Summit's display likely covers a broader spectrum of colors, providing more accurate color representation which is essential for precision work, whereas the Gateway's limited color gamut can make detailed color work less accurate. In the realm of 3D and gaming, however, both laptops may fall short due to their lower refresh rates that can lead to less fluid motion, despite having moderately good resolution and panel type that would otherwise support detailed visual work.

How the Gateway 15.6" and the MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo compare to other laptops
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
"MSI wants to prove that it can do more than just gaming laptops and the Summit E13 Flip is a great example of what the manufacturer is capable of especially in terms of aesthetics and performance. Normally for subnotebooks or convertibles, TDP and performance are often below average as makers want to meet slimmer designs and lower weight targets. The Summit manages to outperform others in its size class and category while still looking sleek and portable in the process. If you want a convertible that won't throttle significantly when under load, then this MSI will be one of the better options you can find."
