If you prioritize gaming or engineering work and want better graphics performance, consider the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro with its dedicated Nvidia graphics card. However, it generally costs slightly more than the Gateway 15.6". The IdeaPad also offers more screen real estate and a higher resolution display, which is beneficial for detailed work, and longer battery life for extended use between charges. The Gateway is less expensive, making it a solid choice for general use, and it's also marginally lighter, enhancing its portability. Both laptops have the same amount of storage and memory, so their performance for general tasks will be similar. Give Feedback

PCMag

Francisco Lahoz | July 2022
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | September 2022
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro turns out a successful all-rounder that, aside from 3D applications, always strikes a good or very good figure. This begins with the elegant metal case that isn't particularly light but fairly robust, giving a high-quality impression. The input devices are also better than those of many competitors. Both the keyboard and the touchpad are attractive and comfortable. In addition, the performance of the Ryzen 5 6600HS is easily able to keep up with the Intel competitors."
