When choosing between the Gateway 11.6" and the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, consider that the Gateway is much more budget-friendly, lighter, and exceptionally portable with a good battery life, making it suitable for basic tasks like browsing and light productivity. However, the Surface Laptop Studio 2, while more expensive, offers significantly higher performance with a powerful processor and dedicated graphics, high-resolution touchscreen, better build quality, and it is capable of demanding tasks such as 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. The Surface also has a larger, higher-quality display beneficial for intensive engineering work but is heavier and less portable than the Gateway. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 has a better screen than the Gateway 11.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Gateway 11.6" laptop's lower resolution and dim screen can make everyday tasks less enjoyable, whereas the Surface Laptop Studio 2's higher resolution and brighter display enhance everyday activities like browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, accurate color representation is crucial, and the Surface Laptop Studio 2's superior color coverage makes it a better choice for professionals who require precision in color-sensitive tasks. However, for gaming and 3D, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 falls short due to a lower refresh rate, which can lead to less smooth visuals compared to laptops with higher refresh rates that cater specifically to gaming needs.

"The new Surface Laptop Studio with its foldable display is supposed to replace the old Surface Book and the overall impression is good after our review. The build quality and the materials are top-notch, the performance utilization of the two components is solid and the device does not show any major flaws in terms of display or speakers, either. The folding mechanism leaves a sold impression as well, but it remains to be seen how it will hold up over the years. The so-called presentation mode is also not ideal since it covers the whole keyboard."
