If affordability and portability are your top priorities, the Gateway 11.6" offers a smaller, lightweight option at a budget-friendly cost. However, it comes with limited storage space and less powerful processing capabilities suited for basic tasks like web browsing and document editing. On the other hand, the Gigabyte A5 is more expensive, but it provides a larger screen, significantly more power for tasks such as 3D modeling, machine learning, and gaming, and a higher screen refresh rate. The trade-off for the A5's enhanced performance is a decrease in battery life and a heavier build, making it less portable. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte A5 has a better screen than the Gateway 11.6" for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Gigabyte A5 offers a better screen experience due to its higher resolution and brighter display, which make it easier to view and work with documents or browse the web. For those involved in engineering and design, color accuracy and range are essential; the Gigabyte A5 provides broader color gamuts, resulting in more precise color representation for detailed work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, a higher refresh rate is crucial for smooth motion, and despite having an adequate resolution and panel type, the Gigabyte A5's lower refresh rate limits its performance in these scenarios compared to specialized gaming laptops.

"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
