If you need a laptop that is more suited for gaming or tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning, the Eluktronics RP-15 with its powerful processor and dedicated graphics card would be better. However, the MSI Modern 14, being lighter and with a smaller screen, offers greater portability and is sufficient for general use, like office work and streaming. The RP-15 has a higher battery capacity, which might be beneficial for longer use, but this could also make it heavier. In comparison, the Modern 14 is not as suitable for performance-intensive tasks but comes at a lower price point. Give Feedback

The Eluktronics RP-15 is very good for engineering and design, while the MSI Modern 14 is only fair.
The Eluktronics RP-15 outperforms the MSI Modern 14 in engineering and design tasks primarily due to its more powerful CPU and GPU, which are crucial for demanding software applications used in these fields, and it also offers a higher quality screen that provides better resolution and color accuracy for detailed work. While both laptops have similar RAM and storage capacities, the MSI Modern 14 is more portable and quieter in operation, but falls short on the graphics and processing power needed for engineering and design use.

The Eluktronics RP-15 has a better screen than the MSI Modern 14 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
If you're primarily using your laptop for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming or office work, the Eluktronics RP-15 provides a vivid, sharp, and bright display that makes those activities more enjoyable, while the MSI Modern 14 offers reasonable clarity and brightness that is sufficient for such tasks. For professionals in engineering and design, the Eluktronics RP-15 stands out with its ability to accurately represent a wide range of colors, important for precise work, which might not be as precise with the MSI's fair color reproduction. Gamers and 3D designers would find the RP-15's screen lacking due to its lower refresh rate, making fast-paced visuals less smooth than desired, whereas the MSI, while also not ideal for these uses due to similar screen limitations, will provide a similar experience in this regard.

How the Eluktronics RP-15 and the MSI Modern 14 compare to other laptops
"To conclude, I’m genuinely impressed with Eluktronics and what they have been able to deliver with the RP-15. You see this is all about maximizing performance, cooling, and giving users the most flexible I/O, and then wrapping it into a chassis that doesn’t feel super cheap. Let’s also not forget the price point, I think they have really nailed it in that department."
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
