The Maypug 15" Laptop has a lower midrange price and generally costs more. It is equipped with a larger 15.6-inch screen but a lower resolution. This laptop uses an Intel Celeron processor and offers basic performance suitable for everyday tasks such as browsing and office work. With a weight of 3.6 pounds, it's moderately portable.
The MSI Modern 14, more budget-friendly, features a smaller 14-inch screen with a higher resolution, which means sharper and clearer visuals. It packs an AMD Ryzen 5 processor which is more powerful than the Maypug's Intel Celeron, making it better suited for more demanding applications, including light photo editing and casual gaming. The MSI is also lighter at 3.08 pounds, making it more portable than the Maypug.
If you need better performance, specifically for tasks like engineering or 3D work, the MSI Modern 14 is a stronger option. However, for general use and if a larger screen size is preferred, the Maypug might suffice, albeit at a higher price. When it comes to battery life, the MSI has a higher capacity, suggesting that it may last longer on a charge compared to the Maypug. Additionally, the MSI Modern 14 provides a backlit keyboard, which is not available on the Maypug. Both run Windows 11 Home and have similar storage options, though the MSI offers twice the storage and RAM of the Maypug. Give Feedback

The MSI Modern 14 has a better screen than the Maypug 15" Laptop for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Maypug 15" laptop's screen lacks in clarity, brightness, and sharpness, making it less ideal for all uses, especially for tasks that involve long hours of looking at the screen. In the context of engineering and design, this laptop falls short as it doesn't cover the wide color gamuts necessary for precise color work. For gaming and 3D applications, the slow refresh rate hinders smooth motion rendering, affecting the overall visual experience negatively.

How the Maypug 15" Laptop and the MSI Modern 14 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
