The Eluktronics RP-15 and Gigabyte Aorus 15X are similarly priced, but the Aorus 15X offers twice the storage, a potentially longer battery life due to a larger capacity, and a higher refresh rate screen which can be better for fast-paced gaming. On the other hand, the RP-15 is lighter, which improves its portability, and has a slightly brighter screen, which might be easier to view in well-lit environments. Both have 16GB of RAM and high-resolution displays, but the RP-15 has an AMD processor and RTX 4060 graphics, while the Aorus 15X includes a more powerful Intel processor and RTX 4070 graphics, which may provide it an edge in more performance-demanding tasks like engineering and 3D work. The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is very good for gaming and AI, while the Eluktronics RP-15 is good.
The Eluktronics RP-15 is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a 165Hz refresh rate display which makes it a solid choice for gaming and 3D applications, but the Gigabyte Aorus 15X has an even more capable Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU and higher 240Hz refresh rate, enhancing fluidity and overall visual performance for more demanding gaming and 3D tasks. Both laptops offer quality IPS displays with the same resolution, but faster screen refresh and stronger GPU in the Aorus 15X provide a noticeable advantage for intensive uses.

The Eluktronics RP-15 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 15X for engineering and design, while the Gigabyte Aorus 15X has a better screen for gaming and AI, content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a vibrant and clear display for everyday tasks like web browsing or document editing, both the Eluktronics RP-15 and Gigabyte Aorus 15X, with high resolution and brightness, will serve you well. For engineering and design work where color accuracy is crucial, the RP-15's superior color gamut coverage will provide more precise color representation than the Aorus 15X. However, for gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rate on both laptops might lead to less fluid motion, making them less ideal if smooth visuals in fast-paced games are a priority.

How the Eluktronics RP-15 and the Gigabyte Aorus 15X compare to other laptops
"To conclude, I’m genuinely impressed with Eluktronics and what they have been able to deliver with the RP-15. You see this is all about maximizing performance, cooling, and giving users the most flexible I/O, and then wrapping it into a chassis that doesn’t feel super cheap. Let’s also not forget the price point, I think they have really nailed it in that department."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 15X is a strong showing of Raptor Lake and RTX 4000 series. While the Aorus had trouble keeping up in older games like Grand Theft Auto V, it nudged past the competition in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It also flexed its next-generation muscle in Far Cry 6 and Borderlands 3. While we were impressed with the overall build quality and design of the Aorus 15X, the keyboard lacked good tactile feedback. The display performed well in real-world testing despite its on-paper shortcoming with brightness, but the speakers are lackluster at best."
