The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R offers better performance for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering software due to a superior graphics card and processor, making it well-suited for users who need a powerful machine and do not mind a heavier and less portable device with shorter battery life. On the other hand, the LG Gram 17 is significantly lighter and offers longer battery life, making it ideal for users who prioritize portability and battery over intensive tasks. The LG Gram also has a larger screen and more memory, which may be advantageous for multitasking and productivity-focused users who need to work on the go. Give Feedback

The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R is very good for gaming and AI, while the LG Gram 17 is only fair.
The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R is equipped with a high-end Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card and a high screen refresh rate of 240Hz, making it excellent for gaming and 3D tasks that demand fluid motion and detailed graphics. In contrast, the LG Gram 17, while still suitable for gaming and 3D applications, has an integrated Intel graphics solution and a more standard 60Hz screen refresh rate, making it less ideal for those who prioritize high frame rates and graphical fidelity.

The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R and LG Gram 17 are both very good for engineering and design, though the Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R is somewhat better.
The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R is highly regarded for engineering and design tasks due to its powerful CPU and GPU, ample RAM, and high-quality screen with a high refresh rate, making it well-suited for demanding applications and visuals, but it is heavier and less portable. In contrast, the LG Gram 17, while also equipped with a competent CPU and plenty of RAM, prioritizes portability with its lighter frame and larger screen, albeit with a less capable GPU and lower screen refresh rate, which may impact performance in highly graphical tasks.

The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R has a better screen than the LG Gram 17 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R excels in general use and engineering due to its high-resolution display and wide color gamuts, offering crisp visuals and accurate color reproduction vital for detailed work. However, its lower refresh rate makes it less suitable for gaming and 3D applications, where a high refresh rate is essential for smooth motion. In contrast, the LG Gram 17's good screen quality stems from its balance of resolution and brightness, appropriate for general activities and engineering tasks, yet it also falls short in gaming and 3D performance because of its inadequate refresh rate.

How the Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R and the LG Gram 17 compare to other laptops
"Everything considered, the XMG Neo 15 (Mech-15 G3R) with RTX 3070 Ti is a great gaming performer. The combination of the Ti graphics card with the new Intel 12th gen CPU is enough to go toe-to-toe, and even slightly pull ahead of the RTX 3080 in most titles, though on games with Ray-Tracing enabled, particularly with graphics set to the maximum and on higher resolutions, the additional VRAM of the RTX 3080 makes a big impact, and the 8GB RTX 3070 Ti machine simply can’t compete, even with the more powerful processor."
"The LG Gram 17 is a light office laptop with a large display and great battery life. The newest incarnation of the Gram 17 can be classified as a model update. LG uses the predecessor's compact, light magnesium case along with an identical port configuration (including 2x Thunderbolt 4) and keyboard. Changes can be found in the hardware. With the Gram 17 (2022), LG offers a light (approx. 1,350 g), mobile work device - and finally with a matte display."
