The Eluktronics Mech-15 G3R is generally more expensive and offers slightly better performance in intensive tasks, with a higher refresh rate display which is beneficial for fast-paced gaming. However, it has less battery life compared to the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro is less expensive and features a higher-resolution display with a taller aspect ratio, well-suited for productivity tasks and content consumption. It's also the newer model with a different processor brand. Both have similar storage and memory, good quality build, and are equipped with powerful graphics cards suitable for gaming and demanding engineering applications. The Eluktronics is slightly more portable and has a higher general use performance, while the Legion 5 Pro has a premium build and better heat management but is heavier. Give Feedback

Aaron Ritchie | September 2022
"Everything considered, the XMG Neo 15 (Mech-15 G3R) with RTX 3070 Ti is a great gaming performer. The combination of the Ti graphics card with the new Intel 12th gen CPU is enough to go toe-to-toe, and even slightly pull ahead of the RTX 3080 in most titles, though on games with Ray-Tracing enabled, particularly with graphics set to the maximum and on higher resolutions, the additional VRAM of the RTX 3080 makes a big impact, and the 8GB RTX 3070 Ti machine simply can’t compete, even with the more powerful processor."

PCMag

Mark Knapp | July 2023
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
