The Dell XPS 15, being more expensive, offers a sharper display with higher resolution and color accuracy, making it suitable for tasks that require color precision like photo editing. It also has a more powerful processor for general and engineering use, and better battery life, favoring longer usage without charging. It's slimmer and lighter, enhancing portability. In contrast, the Gigabyte A5 is less expensive and comes with a superior graphics card that excels in gaming and 3D or machine learning tasks; however, it has a lower battery life and is slightly heavier, which might be less convenient for frequent travel. The Dell XPS 15 has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Gigabyte A5 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The Dell XPS 15 offers a high-resolution screen with vibrant colors and good brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks and professional design work where clarity and color accuracy are crucial. However, for gaming and 3D applications, it lacks the high refresh rate that provides smoother visuals and a better experience. The Gigabyte A5 also provides a sharp, color-accurate display for general computing and precision tasks in engineering and design, yet falls short for gaming due to its lower refresh rate not being ideal for fast-paced action.

How the Dell XPS 15 and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"The 2023 Dell XPS 15 is more or less exactly what you'd expect from the company flagship. Its fresh components deliver measurably superior power and longevity, while the machine's premium build and design remain intact. It may not be overly exciting, but XPS loyalists and upgraders should be more than happy."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
