Choosing the Dell XPS 13 Plus usually comes with a higher price tag and offers a higher resolution OLED touchscreen, more RAM for demanding applications, and a more compact and lightweight design for greater portability. However, its integrated graphics may not be suitable for intensive 3D rendering or gaming. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 16 is cost-effective and possesses a discrete graphics card, making it suitable for gaming and engineering tasks, but it is heavier, has a larger screen with a lower resolution IPS display, and a lower battery life, making it less portable for on-the-go use. The Lenovo LOQ 16 is good for gaming and AI, while the Dell XPS 13 Plus is only fair.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus typically comes with a high-quality screen and a powerful GPU which are critical for smooth gaming and effective 3D rendering, although it may not match specialized gaming laptops in refresh rate. The Lenovo LOQ 16, on the other hand, often focuses on pairing a decent GPU with a higher screen refresh rate, providing an edge for gaming where fast and fluid motion is key, even if its CPU and screen quality might not be top of the line.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has a better screen than the Lenovo LOQ 16 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Dell XPS 13 Plus offers a higher resolution and brighter display, making it suitable for everyday tasks and media consumption. In engineering and design, the Dell's superior color gamut coverage ensures more accurate color representation, which is crucial for professional creative work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both the Dell and Lenovo laptops lack high refresh rates, leading to less smooth visual experiences compared to models specifically tailored for these purposes.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Lenovo LOQ 16 compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
