If portability and high-resolution displays are important for you, and you don't mind spending more, the Dell XPS 13 Plus is an excellent choice with its smaller size and OLED screen. On the other hand, the HP Envy 17 offers a larger screen and a full-size keyboard with a number pad, which might be preferable for productivity tasks, and it comes at a lower price point. For tasks like 3D modeling, machine learning, and gaming, neither laptops are the top choices as they both use integrated graphics, but they handle general use and engineering tasks well. Remember, the Dell tends to have better build quality and screen colors, but the HP Envy's larger screen could be more comfortable for multitasking and watching content. Both laptops have similar battery life, but the Dell is significantly lighter, making it much more travel-friendly. Give Feedback

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the HP Envy 17 compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"In our test, the HP Envy 17-cr0079ng presents itself as a balanced multimedia laptop. Thanks to its solid CPU performance and dedicated entry-level GeForce, it can also be used for playing video games, as long as the demands aren't too high. Those looking for more can find it in the Dell XPS 17 for example."
