If portability and display quality are priorities, the Dell XPS 13 Plus with its smaller screen and lightweight design is suitable for general use and benefits from a high-resolution OLED touchscreen. However, for those requiring more power for 3D rendering, machine learning, gaming, or engineering tasks, the Gigabyte Aorus 17G, despite being heavier and less portable, offers robust performance with its dedicated graphics card and larger screen, though with a lower resolution IPS display. The Dell typically has longer battery life, while the Gigabyte provides additional features like an Ethernet port and per-key RGB backlit keyboard. Give Feedback

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17G for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17G has a better screen for gaming and AI.
If you need a laptop with a particularly sharp and vibrant display for office applications, web browsing, or video streaming, the Dell XPS 13 Plus stands out with its high resolution and brightness, making text clear and colors pop. For engineering and design tasks that require accurate color representation, the same laptop also excels with its wide color gamut coverage, ensuring your work appears precisely as intended. However, for gaming or 3D modeling, the Dell's lower refresh rate may lead to less fluid motion compared to laptops tailored for those activities, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17G, despite having a good display for general and professional use, will also fall short for gaming due to a similar limitation in refresh rate.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Gigabyte Aorus 17G compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"The Aorus 17G isn't among the top RTX 3080 laptops due to its relatively low TGP of 105 watts. The device's gaming performance is average for an RTX 3080. For maximum performance, competitors like the Lenovo Legion 7 or the Alienware m17 R4 are recommended With the Aorus 17G, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded gaming laptop. However, the device generates a high noise level. Throttling is not an issue. The CPU and GPU can develop their performance uniformly. Nevertheless, the device produces a lot of noise under load - more than many competitors."
