The Dell Latitude 5430 is a more affordable option that offers good battery life and is very portable, which could be suitable for general use and light engineering work. However, it is less powerful than the MSI Stealth GS66, which is more expensive but offers higher performance that is beneficial for 3D tasks, machine learning, gaming, and intensive engineering software. The Stealth has a stronger GPU and more RAM, making it well-suited for these demanding tasks, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. Both are equipped with backlit keyboards and a variety of ports, but only the Stealth supports hardware ray tracing and has a very high refresh rate display, ideal for gaming and fast-paced visuals. The MSI Stealth GS66 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Latitude 5430 is only fair.
The Dell Latitude 5430 offers fair performance in engineering and design due to its adequate main processor and integrated graphics, but with limited RAM and a basic screen you may find it less capable of handling intensive tasks. On the other hand, the MSI Stealth GS66 is rated higher for such use owing to a more powerful processor, superior dedicated graphics, double the RAM, and a higher quality display, although it is heavier and has lower battery life, making it less portable.

The MSI Stealth GS66 has a better screen than the Dell Latitude 5430 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Dell Latitude 5430's screen provides adequate resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and sufficient color accuracy for engineering work, but it lacks the high refresh rate necessary for smooth visuals in gaming and 3D applications. The MSI Stealth GS66 offers a vibrant display with good resolution and brightness for typical use and better coverage of professional color gamuts beneficial for detailed engineering and design work. However, despite its strengths, the MSI's display doesn't offer the very high refresh rate preferred for the fast-paced, fluid imagery critical in gaming and 3D modeling.

How the Dell Latitude 5430 and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
