The Dell Inspiron 16 5625 is usually less expensive and offers a larger 16-inch screen, which may be preferable for multitasking and productivity tasks. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life compared to the HP EliteBook 845 G9. The EliteBook, on the other hand, is more portable due to its smaller size and lighter weight, and it offers a longer battery life, making it a better choice for on-the-go use. Both laptops have the same amount of storage and RAM. If portability and battery life are high priorities, the HP EliteBook may be the better choice, while the Dell Inspiron may appeal more to those looking for a larger display and willing to trade off some portability. The HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the HP EliteBook boasts a crisper resolution and brighter display, making it superior to the Dell Inspiron for everyday tasks like web browsing and document editing. Engineering and design professionals would prefer the EliteBook's wider color gamut, providing better color accuracy for tasks like photo editing and CAD work. However, gamers and 3D designers may find both laptops lacking due to their poor refresh rates, which could lead to less fluid visuals during fast-paced gaming or 3D rendering.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 compare to other laptops
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
