The Dell Inspiron 15 3525 offers a more budget-friendly option with reasonable performance for everyday use and tasks like browsing, office productivity, and media consumption. With its AMD Ryzen processor and integrated graphics, it will handle general use comfortably and offer better battery life but isn't designed for heavy gaming or intensive 3D/graphics tasks. In contrast, the MSI Pulse GL66, while more expensive, packs a more powerful Intel i7 processor and Nvidia RTX graphics, making it highly suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and demanding engineering software, albeit with a shorter battery life and increased weight that decreases its portability. If you require high performance and specialize in gaming or professional tasks, and the higher cost isn't a deterrent, the MSI is a strong choice. If you prioritize cost savings and mainly do lighter work, the Dell could serve you well. Give Feedback

The MSI Pulse GL66 is good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3525 is only fair.
The Dell Inspiron 15 3525 is fair for engineering and design due to its mid-range AMD CPU, integrated GPU, and a standard amount of RAM, which may limit performance in demanding tasks, despite having a decent quality touchscreen. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 is better suited with a powerful Intel CPU, high-end Nvidia GPU, and double the RAM, enabling smoother handling of intensive engineering software, albeit at the cost of being less portable and having a shorter battery life.

The MSI Pulse GL66 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3525 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
If you primarily use your laptop for browsing the web, watching videos, and working with documents, both the Dell Inspiron 15 3525 and the MSI Pulse GL66 should meet your needs, although their displays are not top-of-the-line in terms of sharpness or brightness. For engineering and design tasks that demand color accuracy for professional work, neither laptop is ideal since they don't offer the wide color gamuts required to represent colors faithfully. And for gaming or working with 3D applications, the lack of high refresh rates on these models means that motion might not be as smooth as on specialized gaming laptops, while their resolution and panel type may not provide the most immersive visual experience.

How the Dell Inspiron 15 3525 and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Many of its slightly higher-end rivals have to be on sale (and frequently are) to match it on price, but the Inspiron 15 (3525) is outclassed even by some similarly priced options, making it a difficult recommendation."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
