The Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is more budget-friendly and lighter, making it a good option for general use and portability; however, it has a less powerful processor, less RAM, and a lower quality graphics card, which might not be suitable for intensive tasks like 3D rendering or machine learning. Alternatively, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is more expensive and heavier but offers a high-performance CPU, more RAM, a top-tier graphics card, and a larger battery, which makes it well-suited for gaming, engineering applications, and other high-demand tasks, yet it is less portable due to its size and weight. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is good for general use, while the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers a better general use experience partly due to its superior CPU, which is more capable of handling demanding tasks, and double the RAM, which allows for smoother multitasking than the Dell Inspiron 15 3520. Although the Gigabyte's significantly better screen quality improves content viewing, these enhancements come at the cost of less portability and shorter battery life compared to the lighter and more compact Dell Inspiron 15 3520 with its longer battery life.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3520 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a vivid display with sharp details for everyday tasks, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H with its superior resolution and brightness will outshine the Dell Inspiron 15 3520. For engineering and design work, where accurate colors matter, the Aorus 17H again takes the lead with its wider color gamuts, important for rendering designs with more precision and nuance. However, gaming and 3D enthusiasts may find both lacking, as their screens don't refresh as quickly as desired for the smooth visuals often necessary in fast-paced games and 3D simulations.

"Dell's Inspiron 15 (3525) is a peppy-enough and affordable-enough home or remote work machine, but it's not very ambitious; it does little to go beyond the basics. More the concern: It’s readily overshadowed by a number of machines that outperform and outclass it. Even if the Inspiron can get the job done today, its competition has the mettle to keep doing the job tomorrow in a way the Inspiron simply can’t promise. Plus, those alternatives are much more enjoyable after work."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
