For better performance in 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, the MSI Pulse GL66 offers a more powerful Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics card compared to the integrated Iris Xe in the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus. However, the Dell is often significantly less expensive and more portable with a longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and those on the go. The MSI has a higher screen refresh rate beneficial for gaming, but it is heavier with a shorter battery life. If portability and cost-saving are priorities, choose the Dell; for intensive tasks and gaming, the MSI is the better choice. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus and MSI Pulse GL66 are both good for general use, though the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is somewhat better.
The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus offers a balance for general use with a substantial storage capacity, an efficient CPU, sufficient RAM, a high-resolution screen, and decent battery life while being relatively portable; however, it's less suited for immersive multimedia due to its moderate speaker quality. On the other hand, the MSI Pulse GL66 caters to a similar audience with a powerful CPU and ample RAM but excels in screen refresh rates for smoother visuals, and has superior speaker quality, though it sacrifices some portability and has a shorter battery life.

The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus has a better screen than the MSI Pulse GL66 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the MSI Pulse GL66 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
If you prioritize vivid displays and work in engineering or design, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus offers a screen well-suited for these tasks, with better color accuracy and possibly a higher resolution, which is essential for those finer details. However, for gaming or 3D work, the MSI Pulse GL66, despite its fair screen quality, might not match the needs for a high refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth motion and fast-paced visuals. General users would find the Dell's display more appealing due to its likely better brightness and sharper image, making everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming more enjoyable.

How the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus and the MSI Pulse GL66 compare to other laptops
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."
"The MSI Pulse GL66 has a lot of potential for improvement. Although the RTX 3060 is only able to use 105 watts, we still liked the gaming performance, particularly since this also makes the Pulse comfortably efficient but not slow by any means. Neither the dark display with its lame response times, nor USB 2.0 or the lack of Thunderbolt will please real gamers. The use of a sticker factory seal, which is at least questionable, also won't inspire any enthusiasm. It is obvious that the laptop is really designed for price-conscious gamers."
