If you prioritize high graphical performance and gaming capabilities, the MSI GP66 Leopard with its dedicated Nvidia graphics is a strong choice, albeit usually more expensive and heavier, making it less portable. Conversely, the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is more affordable and lighter, offers convertible laptop-tablet flexibility, and usually has longer battery life, suitable for general use and mobility, but it's not geared for high-end gaming or intensive 3D tasks due to its integrated graphics. The MSI GP66 Leopard and Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 are both good for engineering and design, though the MSI GP66 Leopard is somewhat better.
The Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is suitable for engineering and design because its CPU and integrated GPU are capable of handling demanding tasks efficiently, while the device also offers a high-resolution 2-in-1 touchscreen with good color accuracy, contributing to a versatile design experience. The MSI GP66 Leopard, on the other hand, includes a more powerful dedicated GPU and a high-refresh-rate screen, making it a strong fit for engineering simulations and design work that require more graphical horsepower, although it compromises on portability due to a heavier build.

The Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 has a better screen than the MSI GP66 Leopard for software development, while the MSI GP66 Leopard has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
If you prioritize sharp visuals and vibrant colors for tasks such as creating documents and browsing the web, the Dell Inspiron's display is sufficient for these everyday activities. For engineering and design work where precise color representation is crucial, the MSI GP66 Leopard's better coverage of color spectrums like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB means more accurate color rendering. However, for a smooth gaming experience or 3D rendering, despite its overall good visual quality, the MSI's lower refresh rate could result in less fluid motion compared to laptops with high refresh rate screens.

How the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 and the MSI GP66 Leopard compare to other laptops
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
