Choosing between the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 and the Inspiron 14 7425 largely depends on your preferences for touchscreens and battery life. The Inspiron 14 7425 offers a touchscreen, which can be useful for interactive tasks or creative work, but it has a shorter battery life, making it less ideal for extended use without access to a charger. If you prefer longer battery life and do not require a touchscreen, the Inspiron 14 5425 would be the better option. Both laptops are similar in terms of performance, with identical main processors, RAM, and integrated graphics, which are suitable for general use and light engineering, but not for intensive gaming. NotebookCheck

Sascha Mölck | August 2022
"A slim chassis, an acceptable weight (1.6 kg) and a real-world battery life of almost 13 hours turn the Inspiron into a mobile companion. Good: The battery can not only be charged using Dell's proprietary power adapter, but also with a universal USB-C power adapter (min. 45 watts). Office and Internet applications are handled by the built-in combination of Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM just as easily as modest computer games. Heat and noise development are generally okay, but the laptop should work a bit quieter under full load."

PCWorld

Jared Newman | December 2021
"Overall, this Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 offers a lot to like, especially at its oft-discounted price of $800. It’s a sturdy laptop with strong performance, a convertible touchscreen, loud speakers, and a convenient fingerprint reader. But the trade-offs you’ll make in pursuit of that lower price—most notably the dim display and stiff trackpad—might just keep you from outright loving it."
