If you prioritize high performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or intensive gaming, and don't mind spending more, the Dell Alienware m18 R1 is a strong option but it is less portable due to its larger size and weight. On the other hand, the MSI GP66 Leopard is more affordable, offers solid performance for general use and gaming, has a more modest weight making it easier to carry around, but its performance in highly demanding tasks won't match the Alienware. Both laptops have good build quality and are gaming-oriented in appearance, but the Alienware excels in the quality of its display. Give Feedback

The Dell Alienware m18 R1 has a better screen than the MSI GP66 Leopard for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, both the Dell Alienware m18 R1 and the MSI GP66 Leopard boast displays with strong resolution and brightness, along with panel types that offer clear and vivid images, ensuring a pleasing visual experience for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming. In engineering and design, professionals will appreciate the wide color gamuts on both laptops, delivering accurate color representation crucial for precision work. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite their other strengths, both laptops fall short due to their lower refresh rates, which can result in less fluid motion and a competitive disadvantage in fast-paced gaming scenarios.

"Dell's Alienware m18 delivers on its promises: This is a large, powerful gaming laptop with the premium flair and feel you expect from an expensive purchase. The drawbacks are really the price and battery life, which in context are reasonable. (We'd also like to see more ports on the laptop's sides.) This price tier exists for deep-pocketed enthusiasts, and if you’re considering anything in this range, the m18 isn’t an outlier. For the majority of shoppers, of course, all of these mighty 18-inch systems are likely too expensive."
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
