Choosing between the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Lenovo Flex 5 16 depends on your priorities. If high performance for intensive tasks like engineering and 3D work is important and you're willing to invest more, the ASUS with its AMD Ryzen 9 processor and RTX graphics is a strong choice. However, it is heavier and less portable than the Lenovo. The Lenovo Flex 5 16 is more affordable and offers the flexibility of a 2-in-1 device, which can be appealing for general use and if you value having a touchscreen with tablet functionality. It's also lighter, making it more portable, but it has a less powerful processor and integrated graphics, which may not be ideal for demanding tasks. Both have similar battery life, but you'll compromise on performance with Lenovo and on portability and price with ASUS. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and Lenovo Flex 5 16 are both only fair for gaming and AI, though the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 offers better gaming and 3D performance mainly due to its Nvidia RTX 3050 graphics card, which is superior to the Intel Iris Xe graphics found in the Lenovo Flex 5 16. While both laptops have comparable screen refresh rates, the GPU difference greatly affects their ability to handle intensive graphic tasks.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is very good for engineering and design, while the Lenovo Flex 5 16 is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17, with its robust AMD Ryzen 9 CPU, 32GB of RAM, and Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, offers strong performance for engineering and design work, but the larger size and weight reduce portability compared to the Lenovo Flex 5 16, which provides the versatility of a convertible design, a sharper, higher resolution display, although it has less power with an Intel i7 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and integrated graphics. While both feature high-quality IPS screens, the Lenovo Flex has a better contrast ratio and a touchscreen, which may be more suitable for certain design tasks, but it sacrifices some computing power and GPU capabilities that are found in the ASUS.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Lenovo Flex 5 16 compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 is a solidly equipped, 2-in-1 in the lower price segment. Performance is definitely sufficient for everyday tasks and in tests the battery proved itself to be very economical. That aside, there is a lot of standard fare on show and a search for real highlights ends in vain. The low color coverage and reflective display can be avoided by going for an optional 2.5K display but this also presumably results in poorer battery life. The cooling uses only one fan and leads to a raised temperature on one side of the device under load. Additionally, there is very loud fan noise, also under load or when gaming. On top of that, we also occasionally noticed electronic noises."
