If you prize dual-screen productivity and portability, the ASUS Zenbook Duo with its unique dual-display is lighter and more suited to carrying around. However, its performance for general use is just fair and while it can handle gaming, intensive gaming might not be its forte. On the other hand, the HP Omen 17, despite being heavier and less portable, offers robust performance for 3D and engineering workloads and is better suited for intensive gaming thanks to a powerful GPU. Keep in mind, the HP Omen has a larger screen and higher refresh rate which is advantageous for gaming and multimedia but comes at the expense of shorter battery life. If budget is a concern, the ASUS could save you some money while delivering innovative features for multitasking, but for raw power and gaming capabilities, the HP Omen 17 is the stronger performer. "The Asus ZenBook Duo's second screen is like the Apple Touch Bar, but better. Most would agree that having two screens instead of one can really boost productivity and the ZenBook Duo is no different in this regard. It's tough going back to just one screen after becoming accustomed to spacious dual-screen setups. For a laptop form factor, however, users will have to accept some compromises. Firstly, weight is the most obvious drawback as the system is several hundred grams heavier than a regular ZenBook 14. Additionally, colors on the second screen will not be as vivid as the main display."

"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."
