If you prioritize spending less and value portability highly, the ASUS Zenbook 14 could be the right choice, being lightweight and less costly. However, for more demanding tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or complex engineering software, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro offers stronger performance due to its advanced processor and dedicated graphics card, which could justify its higher cost. The Lenovo also has a larger screen and a higher refresh rate which can be particularly beneficial for immersive gaming experiences. It does come with a tradeoff in terms of weight and size, making it less travel-friendly compared to the ASUS. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Florian Glaser | August 2022
"Users who travel frequently and are looking for a portable laptop are in the right place with the Asus ZenBook 14. The sleek case is extremely light (1.2 kg) and surprisingly thin (1.5 cm). Outdoor use is also enjoyable thanks to the bright Full HD display, which is something that can rarely be said about laptops with TN or IPS panels. The excellent battery life complements this as well. Longer trips are no problem with the ZenBook 14. Another plus point is the high-performance Ryzen 7 5700U, which often leaves the Intel competition in the dust thanks to its large number of cores."

PCMag

Brian Westover | August 2023
"The midpriced Lenovo Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 follows some of our favorite gaming machines, including last year's model and the higher-end Legion Pro 7i Gen 8 tested earlier this year. But pedigree doesn't count for much in the computer world, and gaming laptops require a certain level of power and graphics performance to justify their prices. The Pro 5i Gen 8 just doesn't do that, offering middling CPU and GPU performance rather than the sort of muscle that would make it a great value."
