Since the ASUS Zenbook 14 is typically less expensive than the HP EliteBook 845 G9, you would save money while still obtaining a capable machine for general use. If your priority is to maximize portability and battery life for everyday tasks like browsing, document editing, and media consumption, the Zenbook is a good choice. However, if you require robust performance for engineering work, complex 3D applications, machine learning projects, or gaming, and you don't mind spending more, the HP EliteBook would likely offer superior computing power. Be aware, though, the EliteBook's increased performance may come with a tradeoff in terms of decreased battery life and added weight, which could affect portability. Give Feedback

The HP EliteBook 845 G9 and ASUS Zenbook 14 are both good for general use, though the HP EliteBook 845 G9 is somewhat better.
The ASUS Zenbook 14, with its OLED screen, offers vibrant colors and contrast for multimedia use, yet it falls short on battery longevity compared to HP EliteBook 845 G9 which boasts significantly higher battery life and doubles the RAM for multitasking efficiency, making it superior for general use; additionally, the EliteBook’s larger storage capacity and professional Windows version contribute to its enhanced overall performance and suitability for business applications. While both have similar portability, the ASUS’s fair heat management and port noise may affect comfort during extended use, areas where the HP notably excels, ensuring quieter operation and better temperature control.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 has a better screen than the HP EliteBook 845 G9 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the HP EliteBook 845 G9 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
When considering the ASUS Zenbook 14, its very good screen quality for general use and engineering comes from having a high-resolution display with strong color accuracy, including wide color gamuts, making it well-suited for tasks that require precise colors and detail. For the HP EliteBook 845 G9, the screen quality is slightly lower but still quite good for general use and engineering due to a good panel with respectable color coverage and brightness, though it may not be as vivid as the Zenbook. However, both laptops have poorer screen quality for gaming and 3D applications because of their lower refresh rates, which are less optimal for the fast-paced visuals and smoothness required in those scenarios.

How the ASUS Zenbook 14 and the HP EliteBook 845 G9 compare to other laptops
"Users who travel frequently and are looking for a portable laptop are in the right place with the Asus ZenBook 14. The sleek case is extremely light (1.2 kg) and surprisingly thin (1.5 cm). Outdoor use is also enjoyable thanks to the bright Full HD display, which is something that can rarely be said about laptops with TN or IPS panels. The excellent battery life complements this as well. Longer trips are no problem with the ZenBook 14. Another plus point is the high-performance Ryzen 7 5700U, which often leaves the Intel competition in the dust thanks to its large number of cores."
"The high-end version of the HP EliteBook 845 G9 with a Ryzen 9 PRO 6950HS, 32GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD packs a lot of power, but is still quiet and cool enough to operate in noise-sensitive environments. Quiet, cool and drawing on a massive 40 watts from the APU at the same time, however, is not possible. The 14-incher only has a single-fan solution and it only just manages to keep an near unthrottled Ryzen 9 in check."
