For a balance of performance and portability with a stunning OLED display, the ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED is a strong contender. It offers a larger screen with higher resolution and refresh rate, which is great for visual tasks and smoother motion. However, it's slightly heavier and larger, which might affect its portability compared to the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s. The Vivobook's OLED screen is vibrant with excellent color coverage, making it ideal for content creators and those who value display quality. It also has a number pad and more USB-C ports, which can be convenient. On the other hand, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s is more compact and lightweight, making it an excellent choice for those who prioritize mobility. It has a touchscreen, which the ASUS lacks, and includes an IPS panel that still offers good color accuracy and viewing angles, albeit not as vivid as OLED. The ThinkBook also comes with Windows 11 Pro, which may be preferable for business users. It has a slightly lower battery life but scores better in terms of keyboard quality and has a backlit keyboard with a number pad. In summary, choose the ASUS for its superior display and performance in creative tasks, but if you need something lighter and more business-oriented with a touchscreen, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13s would be the better option. The Verge

Monica Chin | July 2021
"The best thing about the ThinkBook 13S is that it’s a good deal. Business buyers looking for ThinkPad-level performance and software without ThinkPad pricing will probably find the ThinkBook a solid option. While nothing about it is really spectacular, it’s certainly unusual to see the ThinkBook’s screen resolution at a sub-$1,000 price, and its performance will be more than adequate for most office tasks. The generous port selection, 16:10 aspect ratio, physical webcam shutter, and clear audio are certainly icing on the cake."
