For a balance of performance and portability with a stunning OLED display, the ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED is a strong contender, especially if you value a high refresh rate and color-accurate screen for creative work. However, it falls short on gaming capabilities and expandability, with fewer ports and no additional RAM or storage slots. On the other hand, the Lenovo Slim 7 16 offers better gaming and machine learning performance thanks to its Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU, and it provides a touchscreen and more versatile connectivity options, including Thunderbolt ports. It's also slightly heavier but still maintains good portability. Consider the Lenovo for its superior performance in intensive tasks and better overall connectivity, while the ASUS shines for general use and media consumption with its vibrant display. PCMag

Eric Grevstad | March 2022
"At $1,011, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro is a real bargain among full-sized laptops, with a handsome 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio touch screen, a speedy CPU, a comfortable keyboard, ample memory, and a roomy solid-state drive. It's not a blazing gaming rig or mobile workstation, but it doesn't pretend to be. Its biggest negative is that it may be hard to find—during our review, it sold out and was marked "Temporarily Unavailable" on Lenovo's site."
