The ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED offers a vibrant OLED display with a higher resolution and refresh rate, making it ideal for vivid visuals and smoother motion, which is great for media consumption and general use. It's also more compact and lighter, enhancing portability. However, it comes with a higher price tag. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17", on the other hand, provides a larger 17.3-inch screen with an IPS panel, which is more budget-friendly and still suitable for everyday tasks. It's also slightly more powerful in terms of GPU performance, given the Vega 7 graphics, which could be beneficial for light gaming or graphic-intensive tasks. The IdeaPad's larger screen size might be preferable if you value screen real estate over portability. Consider the ASUS for its superior display quality and portability if you're willing to spend more, but if you're looking for a more cost-effective solution with a larger screen, the Lenovo could be the way to go. Alex Iliev | December 2022
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
