The ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED offers a vibrant OLED display with a higher resolution and better color coverage, making it ideal for visual tasks and entertainment. It also has a more powerful dedicated GPU, which is beneficial for light gaming and creative work. However, it's slightly pricier, heavier, and has a larger footprint, which may impact portability. Its battery life is also shorter compared to the Dell. On the other hand, the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 is more budget-friendly, has a touchscreen, and is a 2-in-1 convertible, offering versatility for those who need a tablet function. It's lighter and more compact, making it easier to carry around. The Dell also has a longer battery life, which is great for general use throughout the day. However, its performance is more suited for everyday tasks rather than intensive gaming or engineering work due to its integrated GPU. Consider the ASUS for better performance in graphics-intensive tasks and a superior display, but if you value portability, battery life, and the versatility of a 2-in-1 at a lower price, the Dell would be the better choice. PCMag

Eric Grevstad | August 2023
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
