The ASUS Vivobook S 16 OLED offers a stunning OLED display with higher resolution and better color accuracy, making it ideal for visual tasks and general use, but it's less powerful for gaming and intensive tasks due to its Intel Arc GPU. It's also more portable with a larger screen and better battery life, suitable for professionals who prioritize screen quality and portability. On the other hand, the Dell Alienware x14 R1 is designed with gaming in mind, featuring a more powerful Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and a high refresh rate display, which is great for gaming and demanding graphics work. It's slightly heavier and has a shorter battery life, but it offers more USB-C ports and Thunderbolt support, catering to users who need performance over portability. Consider the Alienware for its superior gaming and 3D performance, and the ASUS for its exceptional display and better suitability for general use and light engineering tasks. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Andreas Osthoff | March 2022
"The Alienware X14 series is thinner, but also slower than the competition. With the X series, you get plenty of modern technology: Intel Alder Lake CPUs, GeForce RTX 3000 GPUs, Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 4.0, Wi-Fi 6E, G-Sync, and Advanced Optimus. However, the slim design has some drawbacks, just like its larger siblings. The shifted hinge position results in a very deep device with a large footprint compared to the competition."
