For a balance of performance and portability with a stunning OLED display suited for general use, content creation, and casual gaming, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED is a strong choice. Its higher price is justified by the superior display quality, better performance for creative tasks, and a more premium build. However, if budget is a concern and you need a laptop primarily for everyday tasks like web browsing, email, and office applications, the HP 14" Laptop offers solid value with adequate performance and battery life, albeit with a more basic screen and without the bells and whistles of the ASUS. LaptopMag

Darragh Murphy | November 2022
"The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED excels as a capable work machine at an affordable price. It offers commendable performance, thanks to its 12th Gen Intel chip, delivers quality on-screen entertainment with its 15.6-inch OLED display, and can (kind of) get you through a full day of work. Oh, and its special Asus Antibacterial Guard is a nice touch for those who like a clean laptop."

Consumer Reports

Nicholas De Leon | October 2022
"This feels like an ideal laptop for someone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on a laptop and isn’t too bothered by things like build quality or construction. It’s a laptop that will be used to pay bills, keep track of expenses, do some online shopping, and will be tucked away in a spare bedroom/home office. It’s an appliance designed to do a job without fuss. It’s not a premium experience—the materials do feel a little cheap, the display won’t exactly wow you, and the battery life is nothing to write home about, especially if you’ve used more expensive devices. But overall it’s not too shabby, especially for the price."
