For a balance of performance and portability with a stunning OLED display, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED is a strong choice, especially for creative tasks and general use. Its Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and Intel Arc graphics offer solid performance, and the high-resolution screen with vibrant colors is great for media consumption. However, it's pricier and not as suitable for intensive gaming or engineering tasks compared to the Gigabyte A5.
The Gigabyte A5, on the other hand, is a more budget-friendly option with a focus on gaming and engineering performance, thanks to its AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor and Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card. It has a faster refresh rate screen, which is beneficial for gaming, and more RAM for better multitasking capabilities. It's also slightly more portable due to its lighter weight, despite having a similar screen size. However, the IPS display isn't as advanced as the OLED on the ASUS, and the overall build quality isn't as premium.
In summary, choose the ASUS for its superior display and build quality if you prioritize media consumption and general use, and are willing to pay more for those features. Opt for the Gigabyte A5 if you need better gaming and engineering performance on a budget, and can compromise on display technology and premium finish. Give Feedback

How the ASUS Vivobook S 15 OLED and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"The Asus Vivobook S 15 OLED excels as a capable work machine at an affordable price. It offers commendable performance, thanks to its 12th Gen Intel chip, delivers quality on-screen entertainment with its 15.6-inch OLED display, and can (kind of) get you through a full day of work. Oh, and its special Asus Antibacterial Guard is a nice touch for those who like a clean laptop."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
