If your priority is better display quality and battery life for tasks like watching movies or working with photos or videos, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 offers a larger screen with good color coverage and brightness. However, the XPG Xenia 14, with its smaller screen, is more portable due to its lower weight and size, and it boasts a longer battery life, making it suitable for on-the-go use like traveling or attending classes. Both are similarly priced and capable for general usage, but for intensive tasks like 3D rendering or engineering simulations, the ASUS may have a slight edge due to its processor and integrated graphics. The ASUS Vivobook S 15 has a better screen than the XPG Xenia 14 for content creation, while the XPG Xenia 14 has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
If you're mostly using the laptop for everyday tasks like browsing the web and working with documents, the Asus Vivobook S 15 has a display that's satisfactory, but not exceptional, due to average resolution and brightness which affects readability and visibility. The XPG Xenia 14 offers a better visual experience for general use and creative work with its higher resolution and brightness, delivering crisper images and a broader range of colors, making it suitable for precision tasks in engineering and design. However, neither laptop is ideal for gaming or 3D modeling due to lower refresh rates, meaning motion may not be as smooth, while sufficient resolution and panel type ensure decent detail and color reproduction.

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 and XPG Xenia 14 are both good for general use.
The ASUS Vivobook S 15 provides a solid performance for general use with its AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and ample 16GB of RAM, paired with a larger screen size which is great for multitasking; however, it's slightly heavier and has shorter battery life compared to the XPG Xenia 14. The XPG Xenia 14, while having a smaller and more portable form factor, also offers 16GB of RAM and a high-quality display with better color coverage, making it equally capable for general tasks and more convenient for on-the-go users.

The ASUS Vivobook S 15 and XPG Xenia 14 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The ASUS Vivobook S 15 and the XPG Xenia 14 are both considered fair for gaming and 3D because neither have high-end dedicated GPUs, which are very important for these tasks, and both have screen refresh rates of 60Hz, which are less suitable for fast-paced gaming that benefits from higher refresh rates. However, the ASUS Vivobook S 15 uses an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Vega 8 graphics while the XPG Xenia 14 is equipped with an Intel i5-1135G7 with Iris Xe graphics, where the CPU and GPU performance is somewhat important, and both laptops feature IPS screens with decent qualities for everyday use.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers ASUS Vivobook S 15 to be good for engineering and design, while the XPG Xenia 14 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook S 15, with its AMD Ryzen 7 CPU and Vega 8 GPU, offers reliable performance for engineering and design tasks, while its 15.6-inch IPS screen delivers clear visuals, though it sacrifices some portability due to size and weight. In contrast, the XPG Xenia 14 has a slightly less powerful Intel i5 CPU and Iris Xe GPU, but makes up for it with a higher resolution 14-inch IPS screen, a better portability score, and superior keyboard quality, making it a compelling choice for users who move around often and prioritize a better typing experience.

How the ASUS Vivobook S 15 and the XPG Xenia 14 compare to other laptops
"Internals make Asus VivoBook S15 laptop a compelling option. The Asus multimedia laptop may look rather below-average with its modest black chassis, lack of a dedicated GPU, limited RAM and meagre port selection without Thunderbolt support. But your impression of the device will start changing once you set your eyes on its high-contrast OLED capable of producing deep blacks and highly accurate colours. And your opinion will change completely when the VivoBook is switched on. The AMD CPU can effortlessly keep up with powerful rivals from Intel. The integrated Radeon graphics blows away Intel's iGPU when it comes to graphics workloads such as rendering and simpler games."
"The Xenia 14 is a top 14-inch laptop under 1 kg. ADATA isn't exactly known for its laptops and so we weren't expecting much from its first 14-inch Ultrabook. With that said, we're pleasantly surprised by how well the Xenia 14 looks and performs. Not only is it incredibly light, but it has a color accurate 16:10 display, high CPU and GPU performance, easy RAM and SSD serviceability, plenty of port options including Thunderbolt 4, and long battery life. It packs a lot of punch and features considering the size and weight to be better than even the LG Gram series."
