When choosing between the ASUS Vivobook Go 14 and the HP Envy 17, consider that the ASUS is less expensive and more portable due to its smaller size and lighter weight, making it suitable for basic tasks and general use. The HP Envy 17, while more expensive and heavier, offers a larger screen, better performance for engineering tasks, 3D work and machine learning, and has a superior keyboard and webcam. The HP also has a touchscreen, which the ASUS lacks, and offers better build quality and performance scores for intensive tasks but will be less convenient to carry around due to its size and weight. Business Today

Danny D'Cruze | March 2023
"The lack of a backlit keyboard in this price segment shouldn't sway the buyer the other way. However, it still comes down to user preference. The Vivobook Go 14 is a decent laptop in an extremely competitive price segment. A few omissions are a part of the balancing to reach the price segment. The Asus Vivobook Go 14 is a rare find when it comes to the price to performance ratio."

NotebookCheck

Marcus Schwarten | April 2023
"In our test, the HP Envy 17-cr0079ng presents itself as a balanced multimedia laptop. Thanks to its solid CPU performance and dedicated entry-level GeForce, it can also be used for playing video games, as long as the demands aren't too high. Those looking for more can find it in the Dell XPS 17 for example."
