The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is a budget-friendly option that's suitable for basic tasks like web browsing and document editing, with a smaller screen size making it more portable. Its performance is on the lower end, with modest storage and memory. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" costs more but offers significantly higher performance for demanding activities such as gaming, 3D modeling, or machine learning. It has larger storage, more memory, and a better-quality, larger display, which also makes it less portable and heavier than the Vivobook. Battery life may also be a consideration, with the Vivobook likely to last longer on a single charge due to less power-intensive components. Choose the ASUS for basic tasks and portability, or the Lenovo if high performance for intensive tasks and a better display are important to you. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 offers limited performance with a basic CPU, minimal RAM, and a lower-quality GPU, making it unsuitable for demanding engineering and design tasks, whereas the Lenovo Legion 5 15" boasts a powerful CPU, ample RAM, and a high-end GPU, paired with a superior screen, which is crucial for such intensive applications. Though the Legion 5 is less portable and could be louder due to its performance-grade cooling system, its hardware capabilities and screen quality far outweigh these considerations for engineering and design work.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 likely has a lower resolution and less brightness, which makes its display less appealing for everyday tasks, engineering, and design, where sharpness and visibility are crucial. The Lenovo Legion 5 15", with its very good screen quality, probably offers higher resolution and brightness, plus wider color gamut coverage, catering well to the needs of general and engineering use where accurate color representation and clear visuals matter. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite its good resolution and panel type, the Legion may fall short on refresh rate, which is essential for smooth motion rendering in fast-paced scenarios.

"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
