The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is a budget-friendly option, ideal for basic tasks like web browsing, document editing, and streaming, with its Intel Celeron processor and modest display. It's lightweight and has a long battery life, which is perfect for on-the-go use. However, the Gigabyte Aero 16, with its powerful Intel i7 processor and high-end Nvidia graphics, is suited for heavy-duty tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming. It also boasts a superior OLED display, but it's heavier and may not have the same battery longevity as the ASUS, making it less portable. If price is a major factor and your computing needs are light, the ASUS is the sensible choice, but if performance and high-quality visuals are critical and you're willing to invest more, the Gigabyte Aero 16 is the superior option. The Gigabyte Aero 16 is very good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 has lower performance due to its basic CPU and limited RAM, which makes multitasking and demanding programs sluggish, while its lower-quality TN screen provides a less vibrant display for daily tasks. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aero 16's superior CPU and ample RAM ensure smooth operations across varied applications, and its high-quality OLED screen delivers excellent visual quality; however, it is less portable and has shorter battery life than the ASUS.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 is poor.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12's entry-level CPU and basic graphics fall short for demanding engineering and design applications, while the Gigabyte Aero 16's powerful CPU and high-end GPU, coupled with a high-resolution OLED screen, excel in those tasks. Although the ASUS offers excellent portability and battery life, the Gigabyte, despite being less portable due to its larger size and weight, provides the performance and screen quality vital for engineering and design professionals.

The Gigabyte Aero 16 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook Go 12 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook Go 12 likely has lower resolution and brightness, making it less suitable for general use where reading and viewing content comfortably is key. The Gigabyte Aero 16's superior color gamut coverage enhances the precision and vibrancy needed for engineering and design work. However, for gaming and 3D tasks, the Aero 16's poor refresh rate could lead to less smooth visuals, despite its high resolution and quality panel.

"The Gigabyte Aero 16 is a workstation laptop for light gaming. It's design is still muted, with a silver chassis alongside a black keyboard and trackpad that provides some contrast. The Gigabyte Aero’s full-size chiclet-style keyboard is enjoyable to type on thanks to its snappy feel and responsiveness. The 4K+ AMOLED display is good, but it could be better. It doesn’t handle true black very well and suffers from strong reflections and glare. The Gigabyte Aero excels at productivity performance and can keep up with other gaming laptops in 1080p. But it has very few ports and its refresh rate leaves a bit to be desired."
