The ASUS Vivobook 17 is a more budget-friendly option, offers a larger screen but has a less powerful processor and graphics, making it suitable for general use like browsing and office applications but not the best for intensive tasks. On the other hand, the more expensive ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 features a higher-end processor and touchscreen capabilities, which is better for multitasking, and creative or engineering work, while also being more portable and having a longer battery life, but the smaller screen size might be a disadvantage for those who prefer a larger display for their work or media consumption. How the ASUS Vivobook 17 and the ASUS Zenbook Duo 14 compare to other laptops
"The ASUS Vivobook 17 is an affordable 17-inch laptop with passive cooling. On one hand, you get a really quiet and cool work device with a good system performance, many connections, good maintenance options, speakers acceptable for multimedia enjoyment, and a sharp and clear matte FHD IPS display with the Asus VivoBook 17 (F712JA). On the other hand, the USB-C port lacks Power Delivery and DisplayPort, and the display, a higher brightness and better color space coverage."
"The Asus ZenBook Duo's second screen is like the Apple Touch Bar, but better. Most would agree that having two screens instead of one can really boost productivity and the ZenBook Duo is no different in this regard. It's tough going back to just one screen after becoming accustomed to spacious dual-screen setups. For a laptop form factor, however, users will have to accept some compromises. Firstly, weight is the most obvious drawback as the system is several hundred grams heavier than a regular ZenBook 14. Additionally, colors on the second screen will not be as vivid as the main display."
