The ASUS Vivobook 16 offers a larger screen and more storage but is heavier and less portable than the Dell Inspiron 14 7425, which is lighter and includes a touchscreen with 2-in-1 flexibility. The Inspiron also has a higher battery capacity for longer use. Both laptops have the same RAM and similar processors, providing relatively equal performance for general use. The Vivobook is less expensive and might appeal to those needing more screen space for productivity or entertainment. Meanwhile, the Inspiron's portability and touchscreen make it a good fit for those on-the-go or who prefer a more interactive experience. Give Feedback

The ASUS Vivobook 16 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
For general use, both the ASUS Vivobook 16 and Dell Inspiron 14 7425 offer screens that have adequate resolution and brightness, ensuring a pleasant viewing experience for everyday tasks like browsing and office work. When it comes to engineering and design, the displays on these laptops provide fair accuracy in color representation, but they may not cover the wider color gamuts that professional designers might need for precise color work. However, for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is crucial, the lower refresh rates on these screens won't be as satisfying compared to displays tailored for such activities, which typically have higher refresh rates to keep motion blur to a minimum.

How the ASUS Vivobook 16 and the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 compare to other laptops
Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, Yannick Khong | May 2023
"The ASUS Vivobook 16 M1605 (2023) is a budget Windows laptop. It's available with various AMD Ryzen 5000 and 7000 U-series CPUs and integrated graphics. You can only get 8GB of RAM; however, there's an empty SO-DIMM slot if you want to upgrade it. It has an FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 16:10 IPS display, a full-size keyboard with a Numpad, a 720p webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E wireless connectivity. Ports include three USB-As, one USB-C, an HDMI, and a headphone jack. The USB-C supports charging but no video output."
"Overall, this Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 offers a lot to like, especially at its oft-discounted price of $800. It’s a sturdy laptop with strong performance, a convertible touchscreen, loud speakers, and a convenient fingerprint reader. But the trade-offs you’ll make in pursuit of that lower price—most notably the dim display and stiff trackpad—might just keep you from outright loving it."
