If the lower price point is a significant factor for you, the ASUS Vivobook 15 may be appealing. However, consider what your primary uses for the laptop will be. If you need longer battery life or will be using the laptop for resource-intensive tasks like 3D modeling or engineering software, then the Lenovo V15 might justify the extra cost. For a daily user interested in web browsing, office applications, and video streaming, the ASUS Vivobook 15 should suffice. If portability matters to you, check the weight and dimensions of both models; a lighter and thinner laptop will be more convenient to carry around. There's also build quality and the keyboard and trackpad experience to consider – the Lenovo V15 may offer a more rugged design or a better typing experience, which could make a difference if you type a lot. The Lenovo V15 is good for general use, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is only fair.
The ASUS Vivobook 15 is labeled as fair for general use because it has moderate CPU performance and limited storage, while its good screen quality and portability are advantages. On the other hand, the Lenovo V15 is considered good due to its stronger CPU, more RAM, and significantly better storage capacity, though it has a lower-quality TN screen and its portability is comparable to the ASUS Vivobook 15.

The ASUS Vivobook 15 has a better screen than the Lenovo V15 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the Lenovo V15 has a better screen for content creation, and software development.
If you prioritize a good display when browsing the web and watching videos, the ASUS Vivobook 15, with its fair screen, may serve you better than the Lenovo V15, which offers a less impressive visual experience overall. For engineering and design work that demands color accuracy, the ASUS Vivobook's fair coverage of professional color gamuts will be more conducive to your tasks than the Lenovo's poorer performance in this area. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications where fast motion is rendered, the ASUS's limitation on refresh rate becomes apparent, though it's still a step ahead of the Lenovo, which falls short in both refresh rate and resolution.

How the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the Lenovo V15 compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"The strengths of the Lenovo V15 G2 AMD lie in its expandability of the RAM and allowing you to use two SSDs, in its performance that goes beyond everyday applications thanks to AMD's hexa-core CPU and Vega-7 iGPU, in its good keyboard, and its relatively robust case. In addition, the battery life of the office laptop is also acceptable, and the device stays cool and relatively quiet."
