The ASUS Vivobook 15 is less expensive and more portable due to its lower weight and slightly longer battery life, which is beneficial for general use like browsing or office work. However, it has lower performance with less storage, RAM, a basic processor, and integrated graphics. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ 16, while more expensive and heavier, offers significantly better performance with more storage, double the RAM, a stronger processor, dedicated Nvidia graphics for intensive tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming, and a display with a higher refresh rate and resolution that would enhance media streaming, creative work, and gaming experiences. The Lenovo LOQ 16 is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is poor.
The Lenovo LOQ 16 offers better gaming and 3D capabilities primarily due to its higher-end Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card and a screen with a higher refresh rate of 144Hz, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 has a more modest Intel UHD Graphics card and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz. Additionally, the Lenovo's AMD Ryzen 7 processor may further contribute to its superior gaming performance compared to the ASUS's Intel i3 processor.

The Lenovo LOQ 16 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 15 has an adequate display with reasonable resolution and brightness making it suitable for everyday tasks and some engineering applications, but it lacks the color range needed for precise design work and the higher refresh rate desired for smooth 3D and gaming experiences. The Lenovo LOQ 16 offers a higher quality screen that presents vibrant colors and sharpness beneficial for both daily operations and technical design work, thanks to its better color accuracy across various spectrums, but similar to the ASUS, it does not support the high refresh rates gamers and 3D professionals prefer. Therefore, while both laptops are fine for general use and capable for engineering and design to an extent, neither is ideal for gaming or 3D rendering due to the lower refresh rates.

"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"Gaming laptops with an RTX 4060 are available starting from about 1,000 Euros (~$1,060), even in 16-inch format. For the supposedly affordable Lenovo LOQ 16 (1,500 Euros, ~$1,591), the manufacturer particularly saves in the equipment and materials compared to the more expensive Legion series. In addition, the LOQ is slightly heavier and more bulky. What remains is anything but a laptop full of difficult compromises. Instead, this is a more than solid gaming laptop that focusses on the 3D performance.Q is slightly heavier and more bulky."
