If price is a major concern, the ASUS Vivobook 15 could be the more attractive option as it is generally less expensive, but it offers less storage, lower performance due to a less powerful processor, and shorter battery life. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i, while usually more expensive, provides a higher-tier processor, more storage, double the RAM, and longer battery life. It also has a smaller form factor and lighter weight for increased portability, along with higher screen brightness and better color coverage, which can be advantageous for tasks that require color accuracy. The Lenovo would be a better fit for more intensive tasks and multitasking, while the ASUS could be sufficient for basic everyday use. Both laptops lack touchscreens, but for advanced engineering, 3D modeling, or gaming workloads, you might want to consider different models specifically tailored for those uses. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the ASUS Vivobook 15 provides an adequate visual experience with its resolution and brightness, yet the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i offers a superior display that is sharper and more vibrant. In the realm of engineering and design, both laptops deliver respectable color accuracy essential for precise work; however, the IdeaPad Slim 7i's edge in color range with better DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB coverage ensures more true-to-life colors. When it comes to 3D work and gaming, both fall short due to their lower refresh rates, but higher resolution and decent panel types keep them serviceable for casual use, though not ideal for high-end gaming or professional 3D rendering.

How the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"Among Lenovo's multiple laptop brands, the IdeaPad family is decidedly the one designed for consumers: people who want decent performance at a reasonable price. Consider, then, this laptop a paragon for the pickier members of that crowd. With a 14-inch touch-enabled display, a comfortable keyboard, an Evo-certified Intel Core i7 11th Generation CPU, and the latest Windows 11 operating system, the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro ultraportable ($1,199 as tested) is a slick mainstream machine at a bit of a premium price, and quite capable for everyday tasks."
