The ASUS Vivobook 15 is a budget-friendly choice that offers sufficient performance for general use. If you prioritize saving money and need a laptop for everyday tasks, the Vivobook is suitable. However, if you demand high performance for activities like gaming, 3D rendering, or intensive engineering software, the Gigabyte Aorus 5, while more expensive, provides significantly higher capabilities. The Aorus 5 also comes with better display characteristics for color-sensitive work but has a shorter battery life. Both laptops have similar screen sizes, but the Aorus 5 is heavier, affecting portability. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 is very good for engineering and design, while the ASUS Vivobook 15 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 5 outperforms the ASUS Vivobook 15 in engineering and design due to its significantly more powerful CPU and GPU, which are crucial for resource-intensive tasks, as well as double the RAM for smoother multitasking and better screen quality for clearer visuals. Additionally, the ASUS Vivobook may be more portable and quieter in operation, but the trade-off comes with less capacity to handle demanding engineering software and a lower-quality display.

The Gigabyte Aorus 5 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 15's screen provides adequate resolution and brightness, making it suitable for browsing, video streaming, and document editing, which covers the needs for most general users. For engineering and design tasks that demand accurate color representation, it offers a fair level of color gamut coverage, but it may not satisfy professionals who require highly precise color fidelity. Meanwhile, the Gigabyte Aorus 5 boasts better color accuracy and range, catering well to engineering and design work, yet both fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to their lower refresh rates, which can hinder the smooth visuals critical in these areas.

"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 5 SE4 is a capable mainstream gaming notebook that will run the latest PC games with aplomb. However, it's not your stereotypical flashy gaming PC. Gigabyte has added some interesting tweaks. For example, the webcam placement and its Microsoft Azure AI tool — to automatically switch between power modes — are unusual for this genre. But more importantly, the pricing is fairly competitive and reasonable."
