The ASUS Vivobook 15 is generally less expensive and offers a larger screen, but has lower storage, half the RAM, and a less powerful Intel i3 processor compared to the Dell Inspiron 14 7425, which features a more powerful AMD Ryzen processor and more storage. The Dell Inspiron also has a touch screen, a higher-resolution display with a taller aspect ratio better suited for productivity, and longer battery life. The Vivobook is a more budget-friendly option while the Inspiron 14, with its higher cost, caters better to demanding tasks and offers a premium 2-in-1 experience with its flexible touch display. The Dell Inspiron 14 7425 has a better screen than the ASUS Vivobook 15 for content creation, and software development.
The ASUS Vivobook 15 and Dell Inspiron 14 both provide screens with respectable resolution and brightness for everyday tasks and productivity applications, making them suitable for general use. How the ASUS Vivobook 15 and the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 compare to other laptops
"The Asus VivoBook 15 is a quiet office notebook with a strong screen. However, the VivoBook 15 still has room for improvement. Office and internet applications as well as simple games do not pose any major challenges for the VivoBook - this is ensured by the built-in combination of Ryzen 7 5700U APU and 16 GB of RAM. Heat and noise emissions are acceptable. But, the laptop has weaknesses that should not be present at this level: lack of keyboard lighting, a slow memory card reader, no fast USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Thunderbolt 4) with Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Battery runtimes can only be described as average."
"Overall, this Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 offers a lot to like, especially at its oft-discounted price of $800. It’s a sturdy laptop with strong performance, a convertible touchscreen, loud speakers, and a convenient fingerprint reader. But the trade-offs you’ll make in pursuit of that lower price—most notably the dim display and stiff trackpad—might just keep you from outright loving it."
